Liquid Glass Docks on Mac
Published · 5 min read
Sequoia and Sonoma brought Liquid Glass to the system UI. Ordin lets each extra dock use Solid, Transparent, or Liquid Glass on its own, so a code dock can look different from a call dock.
Why per-dock styling matters
One visual theme for every launcher makes every bar feel the same. A dark glass dock for coding and a lighter dock for calls tells your eyes which job you are in without reading labels.
Settings to try
- Liquid Glass with moderate blur on the dock that floats over design work
- Solid tint on a vertical dev dock you hit by muscle memory
- Smaller icons on tool docks, larger on call docks you glance at during meetings
Try the layout on your desk for two days. No account. $12.99 once if you keep it.

Does Liquid Glass slow the Mac?
Ordin uses native AppKit rendering. Heavy blur on many docks at once is rarer than one styled dock on the active monitor.
